reflexblue’s 2017

2 February 2018

2017 has been another successful year in the life of Reflexblue.

In May reflexblue worked closely with Number 19 Marketing in delivering the Celtic FC Foundation’s ‘Lions Legacy’ event in London. The event, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, commemorated fifty years since Celtic’s legendary Lisbon Lions became the first British team to lift the European Cup. We designed and produced all the marketing collateral associated with the event from the commemorative programme to a range of point of sale. The event raised over 500K for the charity.

2017 also provided us with an opportunity to build on an already strong partnership with sportscotland. After years of providing sportscotland with bespoke digital services, reflexblue developed sportscotland’s first ever mobile app, ‘Coach Development’. The video-based app allows coaches to show athletes certain movements and skills in a real coaching environment, without the need for an internet connection. With the use of CGI animations and video content, developed by reflexblue, the app provides coaches and athletes alike with an incredibly valuable tool in the training environment in order to advance and improve in their chosen sport.

Perhaps the most high profile project this year has been our work on Open Goal, ‘The Football Site You Can’t Miss’. With unique insights into the lives of some of Scottish football’s famous faces such as Aiden Mcgeady, Barry Ferguson and Frank McAvennie. Open Goal has gathered serious pace and a dedicated following since the website’s launch in June. This was evident last month when Open Goal reached one million views on Youtube, along with over fourteen thousand followers on twitter and unparalleled engagement with fans. Reflexblue was integral in the initial launch of the site creating the brand identity,  building the website and filming the initial episodes of the series. Open Goal has gone from strength to strength in 2017, and we are sure 2018 will see the site grow even more popular.

In December of this year, reflexblue assisted massively in the launch of a brand-new radio station based in Glasgow, RockSport. Rocksport broadcasts a unique mix of the latest in Scottish sports news, punditry, discussions coupled with a wide mix of music including U2 and Oasis, among others. With a host of highly regarded presenters and sports personalities including Steve McKenna and Hugh Burns, we are certain Rocksport will grow throughout 2018 to be enjoyed by more and more people with every broadcast. Reflexblue designed and developed the brand identity, which includes digital graphics, photography and filming, as well as building the website for the station.

We aim to be even busier in 2018. Currently we are in the process of preparing for the introduction of new data protection laws coming in May 2018, more information on how we are doing so can be found on our website. With more launches and continuing to strengthen the relationships with our existing clients, reflexblue are striving to make 2018 more productive than any before
